The matte charcoal gray exterior has a soft-touch surface, and the red eraser-shaped TrackPoint controller is right where you would expect it, in the middle of the comfortable keyboard. The T470 measures 0.79 by 13.25 by 9.15 inches (HWD) and weighs 3.74 pounds with its standard three-cell battery. Substituting in the six-cell extended battery increases the weight slightly, to 4.15 pounds.
