The Dell OptiPlex 22 3000 Series All-In-One (3240) is a capable entry-level business PC that's good for companies in need of a utilitarian workhorse.
Design
Like the OptiPlex 7440, the 3240 looks like nothing more than a standalone, corporate-black monitor; the system's internals and ports are all built in. It measures 14.3 by 20.8 by 2.5 inches (HWD) without the stand, and weighs 14 pounds, making it much lighter than the 30-pound HP Sprout. The height-adjustable stand is easy to fine-tune. The display can be pivoted from landscape to portrait mode by turning the back of the integrated monitor, which is an improvement over the stands you get with Apple all-in-ones, such as the 21.5-inch iMac, which only let you adjust the angle.
Performance
The Dell OptiPlex 3240 is equipped with a 3.7GHz Intel Core i3-6100 processor with integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 that helped it turn in good results on our productivity tests. On the PCMark 8 Work Conventional test, which tests a PC's general performance, the system registered an impressive score of 3,387, beating out most other business desktops such as the Lenovo ThinkCentre E93z (3,121) and even the OptiPlex 7440 (2,911), and scoring almost dead-even with the HP Sprout (3,381).
